How to browse websites using w3m locally on ec2

When i was trying to install CKAN from source i encountered error on apachesolr, the only way i can test it out is to browse apachesolr admin site locally (127.0.0.1), since im on ec2 and only accessing via ssh i cant browse it using firefox, chome. Good thing is that David from CKAN community introduced me to w3m a text based browser, it doesnt render visually but it does render the markups.

Heres step on setting it up:

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install  w3m

w3m [options] [URL or filename]

w3m localhost:8090

There you have it.
